During construction of the project, changes were needed and requested by the City.
The contractor, Cox Commercial, submitted additional material specifications and details than what was estimated by the consultant and in some cases providers had made modifications to their materials requiring additional time be spent on the submittals to validate/allow the use of the materials on the project.
Due to the numerous additional unknown utility conflicts that arose during construction of the proposed improvement, the Contractor requested additional guidance on how to resolve the conflicts/issues.
During construction PEC advised they could not provide service to the City at some locations identified in the plans and simultaneously the City desired less service locations, therefore a new plan was developed and the consultant was requested to analyze the electrical loading due to the changes.
Due to the limited right of way at the Bunton/Goforth intersection and the number of utilities in the intersection, the consultant was asked to determine a way to provide power to the proposed traffic signal.
During review of the draft agreement between the City and County Line Special Utility District, their attorney requested certain information regarding the placement of the water line be presented in the agreement requiring our consultant to modify existing project records to provide the information in the manner requested.
Updated plan sheets were provided to the contractor for changes made to the plans. |
