ArcGIS Enterprise Software Contract

Authorize award and execution of a 3-year license agreement with ESRI, Redmond, California, in an amount not to exceed $38,500.00 per year for a total of $115,500.00 for the 3-year term, to provide access to and support for ArcGIS Enterprise software for geographic information and mapping system for the City of Kyle. ~ William Atkinson, Director of Planning

• The Enterprise agreement makes new tools available for better display and analysis of the GIS data, including an expanded website for the public to view the data.
• Expanding from a small departmental license used only by 2 GIS staff to an all-City Enterprise license at a lower cost per unit.
• We have had requests for the software to be used by used by Engineering, Police, Public Works, and Parks.
• The Building Department's permit and inspection database relies on the GIS data for all permit applications and tracking.
• Engineering Department uses GIS for modeling the City's utility infrastructure.
• The license includes 3 complementary registrations to the ESRI User annual conference (approx. $5400 value).

Funding in the amount of $38,500.00 for the first year is available in the approved budget of the Planning and Information Technology departments as follows:

• 1100-11800-553310  $25,000.00
• 1100-11500-553310 $13,500.00

Funding for the second and third year of the license agreement will be budgeted and provided from future annual operating budgets.
