Approve the dedication of 0.059 acre portion of Lot E of the Blas M. Tenorio Subdivision as city right-of-way

Approve the dedication of a portion of Lot E, Blas M. Tenorio Subdivision, being more particularly described as 0.059 of an acre out of Lot E, Blas M. Tenorio Subdivision, a subdivision of record in Book 1, page 69, Hays County Plat Records, as city right-of-way. ~ Leon Barba, P.E., City Engineer

An area of approximately 50' x 50' located at the intersection at West Hays Street and Zapata Street had been utilized as a public street for many years but was privately owned by Mr. Salvador Yzaguirre. Since this property had been utilized as a public road for years, on November 13, 2014, Mr. Yzaguirre donated the 0.059 acre area out of Lot E, Blas M. Tenorio Subdivision to the City of Kyle. On December 6, 2016, the City of Kyle City Council voted to accept the conveyance of this property from Mr. Yzaguirre. The city owns this property but in order to provide access to adjacent properties surrounding this area, the city is requesting this property be dedicated as city right-of-way.
