Approve Supplement No. 5 to HDR ENGINEERING, INC., Austin, Texas in the amount $54,644.00 for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,134,398.50 for additional design services to include a reclaimed water line, revising wastewater plan sheets, revising traffic control and construction sequences, providing additional utility coordination for relocations, revising the pavement sections, and revising all related plan, specifications and estimates for the Lehman Road improvements project. ~ Leon Barba, P.E., City Engineer |

The project consultant has been asked to adjust the location of the City's proposed wastewater line in the plans in order to minimize other utility conflicts and expedite the construction of the road improvements along with adding a reclaimed water line to the plans.
The addition of the reclaimed water line impacts the manner in which construction needs to be performed as well as how traffic needs to be handled during the installation of the lines necessitating the need to update plan and quantity sheets.
Due to the wastewater and reclaimed water line changes, communication and coordination with other utility providers in the affected area needs to be performed in order for the providers to revise their plans and relocate lines accordingly.
The consultant will also revise the plans sheets to reflect the construction activities that were performed on Lehman Rd. through a change order to our Bunton Creek Road contractor.
