Other Information:

Century Acres, represented by Mr. Steve Pulis, is a small subdivision just east of the Kyle city limits behind Barton Middle School/Precinct 2 office. It is accessed off of Crystal Meadow Drive and FM 2770. Several of the properties back up to a low-lying drainage swell which conveys storm water into the Plum Creek development. The Meadow Woods subdivision is also adjacent (to the south) of the drainage swell. The Anthem MUD is adjacent (to the east) to the subdivision and has requested to extend a wastewater service line to connect to the city's line within Plum Creek. The route identified for this line is through the drainage swell within Century Acres. As part of the negotiation between Century Acres and Anthem, Century Acres will donate the portion of property where the wastewater line will be constructed that is wide enough for the wastewater easement. In turn, Century Acres has requested that the city deed restrict the property so that access is limited to servicing the wastewater line (i.e. no public access). Century Acres has also requested a Chapter 212 Development Agreement which will preserve an agricultural use in lieu of annexation.

 

Proposed Council Action: To approve the Development Agreement.
