Public bids were received on December 22, 2016 from 8 bidders for the Yarrington Rd. Ground Storage Tank (250,000 gallons) and the FM 1626 Ground Storage Tank (500,000 gallons) rehabilitation project.
In addition to the base bids for the two tanks, two supplemental bid amendments were requested. One was for additional work required for installation of 9 roof hold downs on the Downtown Elevated Tank and the other was for adding a thicker floor coating to the FM 1626 Tank. We are recommending both bid amendments be included in the award.
Tri-State Coatings has 30 years of experience of repairing and recoating tanks. They have successfully completed various projects for the City over the last several years. This includes the Rebel Rd. Tanks, the Roland Lane Elevated Tank and the Well #3 Tanks. |
