As approved in the 2016-17 Budget, this was anticipated as part of the City of Kyle’s Independence Day Celebration. An RFP (RFP-2016-07-PARD ‘Fireworks Show’) was posted on line and in the local paper. Only one submittal was received, that being from Pyro Shows of Texas. Pyro Shows of Texas has provided the fireworks for the city the past 3 years and the RFP asked for a show equal to the 2016 show. The equal amount of budget was approved, the proposal from Pyro Shows is equal to last year for the same amount of $20,000. This includes all the permits, licenses and insurance required. Staff recommends approval. |
