A Request for Proposals (RFP) was posted on July 6, 2016 for providing nine remote terminal units (RTU) for eight lift station sites and one for the wastewater treatment plant. This also included the antenna equipment and the field services for start up of the RTUs.
The RFP was closed on July 28, 2016. Only one bid was received from Data Flow Systems, Inc. (DFS). in an amount of $182,637.00.
DFS was established in 1981 to manufacture SCADA solutions specifically for water and wastewater systems. DFS is recognized as an industry leader for providing remote monitoring and control for remote facilities. All DFS products incorporate current state-of-the-art technology, but maintain downward compatibility with older versions, demonstrating an obsolescence-proof design. Based on their experience and expertise, Staff recommends approval of this award to DFS. |
